Welcome to our Academy!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Natalya Nesterova Academy, an educational institution that strives to provide students with a top-notch educational experience by fostering excellence in a context of faith.

We welcome people of diverse backgrounds in the belief that their respectful interaction advances the discovery of truth, mutual understanding, self-realization and the common good in our increasingly complex society.

The word «Academy» derives from a Latin term that essentially means «a school for special instruction, the academic community, a society of scholars or artists». These centuries-old notions that many disciplines come together to form a whole are still at the center of how we understand the mission and life of Natalya Nesterova Academy.

I believe that this combining within the Academy goes beyond a mixing of disciplines. An Academy is also a mingling of scholars, experts and novices, from different backgrounds and with different values. It is a blending of scholarly approaches, experimental and theoretical. An Academy often hosts a rainbow of viewpoints on the most topical issues of the day.

One goal of this amalgamation is to encourage all members of the community to think creatively and rigorously and to use the interplay of scholarly commentary to sharpen their insights.

The exchange of contending and supporting ideas generated by insightful and engaged minds makes the position of the Academy Rector one of the most interesting jobs in the world. The combination of intelligent, creative people and contentious issues can also be a volatile mix in any community, and perhaps especially so in a tightly knit intellectual community.

These principles of community for the Natalya Nesterova Academy, are rooted in our mission of teaching, research and public service. They reflect our passion for critical inquiry, debate, discovery and innovation, and our deep commitment to contributing to a better world. Every member of the Natalya Nesterova Academy community has a role in sustaining a safe, caring and humane environment in which these values can thrive.

Mission Statement

We teach - educating students at all levels, from creches to schools, from undergraduate to the most advanced graduate level. Undergraduate programs are available to all eligible Russian and foreign school graduates.

Instructional programs at the undergraduate level transmit knowledge and skills to students. At the graduate level, students experience with their instructors the processes of developing and testing new hypotheses and fresh interpretations of knowledge. Education for professional careers, grounded in understanding of relevant sciences, literature and research methods, provides individuals with the tools to continue intellectual development over a lifetime and to contribute to the needs of a changing society.

Through our academic programs, the Academy helps to create an educated workforce that keeps the Russian economy competitive.

We do research – the Academy provides a unique environment in which leading scholars and promising students strive together to expand fundamental knowledge of human nature, society, and the natural world. Its basic research programs yield a multitude of benefits for Russia: economic growth through the creation of new products, technologies, jobs, companies and even new industries, agricultural productivity, advances in service net work, improvements in the quality of life

We provide public service - The Academy's active involvement in public-school partnerships and professional development institutes help strengthen the expertise of teachers and the academic achievement of students in communities throughout Russia.

From Moscow Educational Centre offering to teach and train foreign languages with modest number of students, founded just 16 years ago, the Natalya Nesterova Academy has grown into a great university with a mission to advance knowledge, promote teaching and research, and help society discover new ways to overcome its most pressing problems. Our academic environment attracts outstanding students and scholars from around the country and CIS, while its financial policy makes the Academy available to students from all economic backgrounds. An active, committed citizen of the global community, the Academy is also proud of its ties to the local community. At the Academy, education is limited neither by time nor space. It is an ongoing and restless search, one to which this Academy is dedicated..

Our students have the opportunity to choose from more than 20 undergraduate and graduate fields of study. Among them are new programs in Computer Science and Computer Graphic Arts, in Information Sciences, Accounting and etc.

We feature small classes that provide an optimal learning environment; professors who know their students by name; opportunities to participate in clubs and organizations; and most importantly, spiritual growth and awareness by living the Mission of the Academy.

The Academy also features a wide range of international programs. The Academy will soon offer degrees in Cyprus through the CTL Eurocollege in Cyprus and is working out collaboration programs with Chinese Universities.
